Design process
As soon as your venue is booked and your date is set, get in touch to check my availability. It’s only myself here, designing, baking and decorating cakes so I do get booked up well in advance. Saying that, if you are planning a last minute celebration then its always worth getting in touch and I’ll see what I can do.
If it’s a wedding you’re planning I will invite you to come for a consultation at the cakery. Here we can talk about your big day over a nice cup of tea. It’s a lovely way for me to get to know your vision for the day and a great opportunity for you to bring along any images, photos or colour swatches that show me how you want things to look. This is also the time that you can try a selection of cakes from my menu (for a small fee), after all, the taste of your cake is as important as the look!
If you are unable to attend a consultation or would simply prefer to create your cake design via email then this is of course fine too!
After your consultation I will produce a selection of hand sketched designs for you to consider and we will work together via email before finalising your cake design and flavour choices.
Once everything is confirmed and your booking fee is paid I will liaise directly with your venue to arrange delivery and set up of your cake.
Now you can sit back and look forward to your wedding day or celebration.
